Advanced Nutrition Programme Supplements Review

I was planning to hold off on writing about my experiences with the Advanced Nutrition Programme range of supplements because I’ve only been taking them for around two months so far, but I decided to share with you a little introduction as I love them so much already, plus, it was around 8 years ago that I tried them for the first time (and had an equally positive experience – check out my original intro here) so I’m really enjoying revisiting the range, especially since it’s 10 years since the Skin Accumax products launched, so it feels like a great time to share my initial thoughts!

The Advanced Nutrition Programme Skin Accumax is an award-winning supplements designed with the needs of problematic skin in mind. I’m 38 years old and I’ve spent most of my adult life battling various levels of acne, having come to realise that the only way to really address it is to take a multi-disciplinary approach: skincare, lifestyle and supplements are all key, because my acne comes from various causes, such as stress, hormones, reactions to certain products and things like lack of sleep and poor health. For me, supplements that target skin issues specifically make the biggest difference, which is why I’m sticking religiously to my Skin Accumax routine and it’s working like a dream!

Advanced Nutrition Programme do a really solid range of skincare and health supplements to target a number of needs, plus you can mix and match to optimise your routine. The three supplements I’m currently taking are:

Skin Accumax: starting at £45 for 60 capsules here – link

Skin Clear Biome: starting at £33 for 30 capsules here – link

Skin Omegas+: starting at £32 for 60 capsules here – link

This trio was suggested based on the online consultation that you can take for yourself to find your best recommendations here – link.

I’m currently still on the introductory phase of taking the pills, so I take four Skin Accumax per day (two in the morning, two in the evening) plus two Skin Omegas+ (I take these in the morning too) and one Skin Clear Biome. I used to have a real issue with swallowing pills, but since I started taking an anti-anxiety medication I’ve found taking them a lot easier, however, I will say that they are a good size, so if you struggle with pills then you might have a hard time with the size of these, although thankfully they’re shiny capsules, so they’re designed not to get lodged in your throat, thankfully!

The Skin Clear Biome utilises microbiome technology to address the connection between gut and skin health. This is something I firmly believe in as I am very aware of how much worse my skin can get when I’m struggling with gut health; basically, the happier my tummy is, the happier every other part of my body is too!

The Omegas+ is a mix of Omega 3, Omega 6 and Vitamin A, providing a great boost for skin health in general. I think it’s really important to try and take a balanced approach to skincare supplementation and make sure you’re not just trying to target the acne, but instead ensuring you’re trying to improve the health of your skin overall.

Advanced Nutrition Programme Supplements Review

So there we have a quick(ish!) intro to my current supplement routing from the Advanced Nutrition Programme. It’s still too soon for me to be fully reviewing the range (I’m going to hang right until I’ve moved down to taking 2 of the Skin Accumax a day for a little while to ensure the benefits remain) and whilst I’m not free from spots, I am definitely getting far fewer breakouts, and the spots I am getting don’t hang around long, don’t get anywhere as near as angry and inflamed as they used to, and the overall quality and texture of my skin has massively improved in a relatively short space of time, so I am absolutely thrilled!

I’m sure you wouldn’t, but I feel obligated to add this just in case: if you are on any kind of medication, have any health issues or are just a bit unsure on whether these medications are right for you, please do make sure you consult with a doctor or specialist to err on the side of caution.
