There’s nothing better than a bit of a makeover following a breakup, and it looks like that’s exactly what The Only Way is Essex star Amber Turner has enjoyed.
Following the announcement of her breakup with fellow cast member Dan Edgar – who she was with for six years – Amber headed to the salon for a hair transformation to mark a fresh start.
And she swapped her bright blonde locks for a stunning soft bronde – a combination of blonde and brunette.
Amber's been embracing her new independence since the 2 May announcement, first heading off on a trip to Dubai.
But after returning to Essex, she headed to the By Georgina salon in Loughton for her new look, where she not only switched up her hair colour but had some fresh new extensions too.
Her new colour was done by bronde specialist Billy Evans, who revealed on his Instagram that he’s been slowly taking Amber’s hair colour darker every time she visited the salon, saying: “Slowly but surely we have been taking Amber slightly darker every appointment and I think this is my favourite yet out of all the colours!”
The gradual transformation didn’t go unnoticed by Amber's followers, who were firmly on board with her breakup makeover.
One fan wrote: “New hair colour? Oh you're done done, love this colour on you!” while another said: “A woman who changes her hair is about to change the world”.
Another pointed out how much her new shade made her blue eyes stand out, whilst a fourth follower commented: “Breakup glow up if u ask me”.
Her new colour is a gorgeous warm bronde shade that’s darker at the roots and gradually lightens towards the ends in a subtle balayage style, whilst highlights throughout stop it from becoming too much of a brunette colour.
Amber’s makeover also included getting some fresh extensions fitted in her new colour, with extensionist Jack Kenneally working with her stylist Billy to create a custom toned shade just for her, and making sure her new extensions matched perfectly.
He shared that Amber’s new extensions were done using Bellami tape ins and a volume weft for extra body and thickness.
Neither Amber nor her hair team revealed if this was as dark as Amber’s bronde hair journey was taking her or if there are plans for her to go an even darker brunette shade in the future, but her new deep bronde is already a far cry from the bright blonde colour she’s been rocking for the last few years.
Looks like she really is embracing the full breakup glow up, and we’re loving it.
