To anyone always assumed that Beyoncé's long, blonde and ever-changing hairstyles were the result of wigs – or, at the very least, hair extensions – the singer has proven you wrong with a rare, intimate look at her wash day hair routine, proving that her impressive tresses are, in fact, all her own.

Posting a Reel to her Instagram account, Beyoncé shares a video of her typical hair washing and styling regimen, showing her long lengths being washes, dried and styled using products from her very own (and newly launched) hair care brand, Cécred. In in we see the Texas Hold 'Em singer's naturally curly hair texture, before it's straightened and then styles into bouncy curls.

Beyonce just shared a glimpse at her natural hair

"Maintaining 25 years of blonde on natural hair through all the experimenting I do has played a huge part in developing @cecred’s products," writes Beyoncé in the caption underneath the clip, which has since had over 2.1 million likes. "It’s the hardest to keep color-treated hair healthy and strong, but @cecred is here. All quality, with NO shortcuts. Congratulations to the entire CÉCRED team for contributing to developing award-winning products."

The video shows the Grammy Award-winner's hair being washed at the back basin, before Cécred's Fermented Rice & Rose Protein Ritual, £52, is applied, followed by Moisturizing Deep Conditioner, £38. "There's nothing in the world like the conditioner," she says. "I'm really proud of the quality." Here we get a glimpse of Beyoncé naturally curly hair, coloured a warm honey blonde colour.

OK! beauty editor Laura Mulley has also tried this Protein Ritual, and was super impressed. "I'm not normally one for hair treatments, but this left my hair feeling incredible – soft, strong and light, without any greasiness or heaviness whatsoever."

If you're looking for a slightly cheaper alternative, Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair! Rice Water Protein+Moisture Strengthening Treatment, £38, uses the same idea of the viral rice water ritual.

Beyoncé's stylist then applies Cécred's Moisture Sealing Lotion, £38, and Nourishing Hair Oil, £44, before blow drying it on a medium heat using an iconic Dyson Supersonic, £279.99, then using straightening.

"The stigma and misconception is that people that wear wigs don't have long and healthy hair," Beyoncé continues. "That's some bulls**t, and that ain't nobody's business."

"I've been using these products for so long and my hair's never grown so long and been so moisturised, and I've been able to keep the texture of my curls even with my hair so blonde."

Beyonce shared that she's been dying her hair blonde for 25 years

Another cult classic hair product that you can't beat for protecting coloured hair is, of course, Olaplex Hair Perfector No. 3, £20.70, the pre-shampoo treatment loved by hairdressers.

And Cécred isn't the only exciting celebrity hair care brand to launch recently. Rita Ora has introduced TYPEBEA, a range of products designed to tackle hair loss and damage.
