The BAFTAs are over for another year, and it saw some of the biggest names in Hollywood hoping to win one of the prestigious awards. There were plenty of major beauty looks spotted on the red carpet, including Bridgerton star Phoebe Dynevor who went for a classic fresh-faced glamour with a nude, barely-there beauty look that complemented her white Louis Vuitton gown.
Phoebe’s makeup artist Gina Kane created the look using a full face of Charlotte Tilbury products from skincare through to her lashes, and she used one of the brand’s newest lipstick launches to finish off the look. The brand new Hollywood Beauty Icon Lipstick in shade Icon Baby, £27 here, is a pink-toned nude that was perfect for rounding off Phoebe’s understated glam makeup, and it’s already proving to be a red carpet must-have.
The new rosey nude shade is one of several new lipstick launches from Charlotte Tilbury, and comes in the shopper-loved K.I.S.S.I.N.G satin shine finish formula. It also contains light-diffusing crystal pigments that help create fuller-looking, plumper lips in just a single swipe.
Unlike other satin-finish lippies, the CT Hollywood Beauty Icon has a wax formula that not only glides on smoothly but also stops it from bleeding outside of your lip line, so it should stay put wherever you apply it. If you want to add some extra definition to your pout, a lip liner is always a great idea.
Charlotte Tilbury recommends that fair-medium skin tones pair the Icon Baby lipstick with the brand’s new Lip Cheat in Icon Baby, £21 here, to resize the look of your lips for a red carpet-ready pout. If you have a tan-deep skin tone, it recommends choosing Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk Intense or Foxy Brown as your matching lip liner to help define and shape your pout.
It’s not just celebs who’ve been loving the new Icon Baby lipstick shade, as it’s racked up a 4.4 out of 5 star rating from reviewers, with one saying: “This is by far the most perfect nude lipstick I've ever used. It also has a subtle hint of glitter which just gives it that perfect shine but not too much. The formula is creamy but somehow sits on the lip so lightly. It's long-lasting and didn't transfer..and the colour is just stunning.”
Another wrote: “This Charlotte Tilbury lipstick is amazing! The colour is beautiful and it glides on nice and smoothly, it’s very long-lasting and doesn’t smudge at all. The packaging is very classy, I’m very happy with this and can’t wait to have a look for some other colours.”
If you’re looking for a more budget-friendly version, Rimmel’s Lasting Finish Lipstick in Nude Pink, £5.99 here, has a similar rose-nude colour and satin finish, with shoppers also raving about how amazing the colour payoff is. One review said: “FAVE!! this lipstick is so pigmented, the texture is so smooth!! I love the scent! The packing is simple and cute and the price is so reasonable!!”
