Not content with her brand new rust-red colour that she showed off on Instagram just a few days ago, Chrissy Teigen decided to amp up her new hair colour even more before the 2023 Oscars.

In a new Instagram video captioned “Pushing it a little more”, Chrissy showed a bright orange dye being washed out of her hair as she prepared for the 95th Academy Awards on Monday 13 March. The model and TV personality had been brunette for years, with long wavy brown locks being her signature style, however, Chrissy’s brand new bob and much more vibrant red colour have given her a whole new look.

She showed off the finished results at Vanity Fair’s Oscars after-party as she posed for photographs with husband John Legend. The 37 year old wore a green beaded gown with a feather trim from designer Zuhair Muhad.

The gown featured a daring thigh0high split and robe-style wrapped waist, with a low cut neckline and dramatic feather trimmed sleeves. The intricate beadwork also covered the entire dress for a perfect glam after party look. The former Sports Illustrated model styled the look with green satin platforms and a green embellished clutch bag, whilst John wore a velvet tuxedo as the pair made an entrance at the party.

Chrissy tagged her trusted colourist and stylist Matt Rez in the post on Sunday night, and her 41.1million followers were desperate to see the end result, with one follower saying: “Can’t wait to see the results!!” whilst another was inspired by the new colour, saying: “Ooo the exact color I need”.

Her final colour made a bold impact on the Vanity Fair red carpet. The rich auburn shade stood out against the blue backdrop of the party’s red carpet, and it complemented the lime green colour of her dress perfectly. Although not as bright orange in colour as her video would have suggested, her final hair colour was a stunning burnt orange colour with hints of red and brown highlighted throughout.

The previously lightened sections around the front of her face had been dyed to a particularly bright copper colour, which worked well with the cookbook author’s complexion and brightened up her face. Her freshly cut bob was styled into voluminous curls with a side parting and sleek shiny finish, giving a nod to old-Hollywood glamour. The look was finished with soft neutral make up and a glossy nude lip.
