It’s a little hard to keep up with Kim Kardashian and her many hair transformations – the star swaps between blonde and brunette as often as we swap pairs of socks. However, a fringe is one hairstyle we haven’t seen her wear in over ten years.
Now, Kim is deciding to modernise a look she briefly wore in 2010 – and fans are delighted. Posting snaps of herself to her Instagram grid, Kim fails to mention her hair transformation, but it’s easy for everyone to see she’s been for a chop. Swapping her long layers for a curtain fringe, Kim indeed looks like a younger version of herself from the mid-2000s.
As we say, Kim’s image captions had nothing to do with her hair change, but that hasn’t stopped her 346M followers from commenting on her new look. “Oh she really went in for the bangs! Get it,” says one, while a second writes: “2010 Kim K is screaming right now”.
A third adds: “Kim K has bangs so now I must get bangs,” referencing the iconic Mean Girls quote.
Along a similar line, Paris Hilton writes: “That’s hot”.
Well, that confirms it. Paris has spoken – Kim’s look is hot, meaning we must all immediately book in for a fringe appointment. If Paris’ short but sweet words of approval aren’t enough to convince you that a fringe is the hottest hair accessory of 2023, perhaps these other celebs will.
Maya Jama, Lily Allen, Ellie Goulding and Megan Fox have all tried out versions of long, short and micro fringes in recent weeks – all to incredible results. In fact, Maya’s fringe made her feel so different that she decided to give it a name: Trisha.
Maya debuted the look – which was the work of a temporary hair piece – on ITV2’s Aftersun after uploading a few snaps of the makeover process to her Instagram Stories. “And it don’t stop,” she captioned the first Story of the series.
She’s not wrong. Between Maya and Kim, the two really are taking over our television screens!
