Many of us will have made new year resolutions to leave things that don’t serve us back in 2022. Kylie Jenner, it seems, included her eyebrows in her list.

The youngest Kardashian/Jenner sister has just posted a series of snaps to her Instagram where she poses in the back of a car with a very dramatic beauty transformation. Usually a fan of “soft girl” make-up, Kylie seems to take inspiration from Natalie Portman in Black Swan for an eyeliner-heavy look. More noticeably, she’s also bleached her eyebrows.

We’d imagine this isn’t a permanent bleach job, as the only way she could then revert back to her dark brows would be to fully grow the bleach out, but nonetheless the semi-permanent effect is very…effective. The look has also divided followers' opinion, with many labelling Kylie’s no-brow make-up “perfect” while others wonder where her eyebrows are hiding.

Kylie nails a modern Black Swan beauty look

Kylie asked in the caption: “Where we going?” to which a few fans fired back: “To get your eyebrows back?”

Others were more complimentary, with one saying: “These eyebrows are so iconic,” and a second adding: “This glam>>>>”.

You might be wondering how Kylie has managed to semi-permanently cheat a bleached brow look, and to this we say “TikTok”. The app is full of clever hacks for giving brows a bleached-out effect without the need for permanent lightening. Most involve some form of heavy duty concealer in the same shade as your skin tone. Once you brush that through your hairs with a spoolie, you just need to set your lightened eyebrows with a bit of powder for a bleach effect.

Give your brows a bleach look without the commitment

bPerfect Cosmetics’ Brow Engineer, £12.95 here, is also being hailed by TikTokers as a great alternative to bleach. The thick paint-like formula comes in a variety of different shades and seamlessly covers your eyebrow pigment. We wonder if Kylie – who we know is a bit of a TikTok fan – ordered her very own for her glam look.

What do you think – are bleached eyebrows a trend you want to see in 2023, or one you wish would get put into Room 101?
