It seems everyone wants to enter 2023 with a copper hair colour, and Love Island’s Kaz Kamwi is no exception. The influencer, who made it to the ITV2 show’s final back in 2021, doesn’t tend to stray from her usual black hair colour and long lengths, but she’s just decided to try out a new look.
Posting a snap to her Instagram, Kaz shows off a brand new copper – or ginger, as she calls it – hair colour. The shade is vibrant and flawlessly fiery, which can also be seen in a close-up selfie posted to her Instagram Stories.
“In my ginger era,” Kaz captions the new grid post.
“Fav ginger spice,” comments one fan, while a second says: “Ginger is your colour.”
A third writes: “Oh she is backkkkkk”.
Though Kaz hasn’t worn this shade of ginger before, that follower might be referring to the time the star briefly went blonde back in June of this year. The 28 year old shared a series of snaps documenting the honey-blonde hye to her main Instagram feed, captioning them, “Just me and my reflection” alongside a mirror emoji – and it’s safe to say fans loved her with a lighter hair colour.
Shades of blonde were definitely the trend of summer, and now autumn/winter is all about warmer, coppery tones. It seems Kaz keeps up with hair trends as she’s bang on style with her current ginger hue.
Her copper is on the vibrant end of the colour scale, but, if you want to try out a more muted version of the shade, there are plenty of other tones on the spectrum, as Headmasters colour ambassador Sian Quinn points out.

Other current copper hair wearers include the likes of Lily James – who just swapped her brunette hair for a “spiced cinnamon” hue, and Bella Hadid – who is wearing a coppery “Aspen” blonde.
