Ever since the Pam & Tommy biopic hit our screens last year we've seen plenty of celebs taking inspiration from Pamela Anderson for hair transformations. Now, Love Island finalist Lana Jenkins seems to be pulling from Pammy's trademark updo as well as from another iconic actress' hair.
Posing for Instagram grid snaps, Lana looks incredible with a new long fringe and shorter layers. With her blonde hair styled up into a loose French twist, we think the style gives serious "Brigitte Bardot" vibes – and fans agree.
Lana doesn't mention the makeover in the caption of her post, simply adding a few heart emojis instead. Her Love Island beau Ron Hall was quick to respond, stating: " I have the coolest girlfriend".
Another fan writes: " This hair on you," with a second adding: "The Hollywood hair" with heart-eye emojis.
A third comments: "Loving the faux bangs" – clearly assuming Lana's transformation is the work of either styling trickery or a clip-on fringe.
We also have to wonder whether Lana has been for a colour transformation as well. Comparing these new snaps to ones of her from after she left the Love Island villa earlier this year, it seems her hair is much brighter and creamy in tone. In fact, we'd call this exact tone a "mayo" blonde.
What is a mayo blonde, you wonder? Emma Vickery, colourist at London’s Percy & Reed salon, explains: “You still need to have the same all-over scalp bleach that you would if you were going a platinum blonde, but then a ‘mayo’ tone is added with a toner. The toner is more balanced than what we’d use for a cool, ashy blonde – it’s balanced with some warmth. The result is a creamy, mayo-like shade that feels less stark than a platinum.”
Another celeb currently wearing this blonde colour is Kourtney Kardashian, who recently surprised us all when she decided to switch up her signature dark-haired look for a lighter look for spring/summer.
