Our highlight of Love Island’s 2023 winter series really is Maya Jama. The presenter has knocked it out of the park with her make-up and style looks, and she’s been influencing us in more ways than one. This week, she’s making us want to shop a particular shade of blush – and it’s one from Kylie Jenner’s own beauty range.

The host, 28, is said to love Kylie Cosmetics Pressed Blush Powder in Winter Kissed, £17.10 here, which is known for giving cheeks the perfect “cold girl” make-up effect currently trending on TikTok. It’s also the ideal baby pink hue for those wanting to try out the pink under-eyes trend.

How do we know the star loves this product? Maya’s go-to make-up artist Letitia Sophia posted snaps of the star captioned: “My pretty girl in pink”. The carousel of images prompted fans to ask the MUA plenty of questions about what make-up Maya is wearing in the snap, with one saying: “What’s that blush, please? It’s stunning”.

Letitia has helpfully responded to this comment with: “It’s @kyliecosmetics winter kissed x”.

Of course, Kylie herself uses this blush as well. Though she doesn’t always confirm which shade she’s wearing (there are six shades you can shop it in), she does seem to be favouring a baby pink blush like Maya’s. As we say, the pink under-eyes trend is currently taking off, and that’s largely due to Kylie and her airbrushed eye area.

If you’re wondering what exactly the pink under-eyes trend is, we have a whole explainer here. Essentially, this look is basically an extension of the “cold girl” make-up we mentioned before. It involved giving cheeks a flush of baby pink, with that shade continuing up under the eyes and across the bridge of the nose. A pink under-eye fade, if we’re being exact.

Our OK! deputy beauty editor Zoe tried out the look for herself, thinking that it would be just another trend that only seems to look good on influencers, but she was pleasantly surprised by the results.

“With very little skill, I managed to get a lighter, more wearable (for the average non-celeb who has to do Zoom meetings) take on this look. Something about the combination of the baby pink shade of blush with the pink shade of setting powder made me look brighter, healthier and more awake. In fact, I think it made me look younger than I did in my mid-twenties (I’m 30 now),” Zoe says.

We can see why Maya is a fan of the baby pink look too!
