The Grammy Awards last night didn't disappoint when it came to red carpet glamour. Plenty of stars like Taylor Swift, Beyonce and Olivia Rodrigo grouped to recognise and support artists up for prestigious nominations, but no celeb turned up quite like Miley Cyrus did.

Debuting a brand new hair transformation seemingly inspired by Tina Turner, the dramatic look has since drawn plenty of other comparisons from X users who note the voluminous bouffant makes her resemble other celebrities of eras past, including Raquel Welch in the 90s, Margaret Thatcher during her time in government, Renée Zellweger in the 2001 movie Bridget Jones, Jane Fonda in the 80s and, err, Kurt Russell.

Miley Cyrus' new look at the Grammys

"Miley Cyrus bringing back 80s hair. I love it," says one app user, while another praises: "Miley Cyrus’s hair last night was incredible. Late 60’s meets 80’s but better. I frickin loved it and she looked great."

A third chimes in with: "She looks even more like #JaneFonda 80s version with that hair! Extraordinary."

The look, however, is proving to be a tad controversial with other users unsure of the 80s-like style.

"I am deeply torn about Miley Cyrus' hair," says one, while a second, who clearly grew up in that era, asks: "Why did Miley wage a one-woman quest to bring back 80’s AquaNet hair tonight? Please, lord no! I can’t go back to Fantastic Sam perms, cans of hairspray and Dippity Doo.:

We personally love her new style, which made a very fitting tribute to the late and great Tina Turner, who sadly passed away last May. Even Miley's performance on the night gave a very Tina feel as the singer mimicked some of the legend's famous moves.

Miley seemed to take inspiration from legendary artist Tina Turner

Miley's hair wasn't the only thing capturing attention on the night, either. The Flowers hitmaker – who walked away with a trophy for that very song after bagging the award for Record of the Year – had a whopping five outfit changes during the night, each inspired by various 80s Tina looks.

Though her dive into memory lane may just have been for one night only, we wouldn't be surprised if Miley went back to rocking more of a mullet look after receiving so much praise for the Grammys bouffant.

And if you're seeing her hair and you're wondering how you could inject your tresses with similar amounts of volume and bounce, Miley's hairstylist Bob Recine has helpfully posted his full how-to from the night.

"This last year l featured Miley‘s wet look for hair. This year we decided we wanted something dry and bigger, fuller hair, but sexy and tousled and touchable," he writes in a new Instagram post.

"I begin by adding two products to damp hair. Section by section from root to tip I apply NEXXUS Epic Shine Anti-Humidity Spray [shop similar for £16.99 here] with its anti-humidity qualities to keep moisture and humidity from changing my end result.

"As I blow dry each section dry I apply NEXXUS XXL Volume Hairspray [£29.50 here], although I love all the NEXXUS Hairsprays I really love this medium hold spray as it leaves hair with no residue and has a strong but soft hold on all styles. And as I also softly tease the roots of hair, I apply it there also as it holds perfectly, and also gently. I also added a few Velcro rollers on top to get that sexy bounce.

"And to finish my look, I apply a few drops of NEXXUS Repair and Nourish Hair Oil [shop similar for £6.50 here] on my fingertips that is infused with the beautiful rose of jericho oil making it lightweight with excellent movement for my voluminous style, giving it a jewel like shine and light reflective qualities that make hair soft and nourishingly healthy."

There we have it!
