Once quite a niche beauty product, now there are plenty of best lash serums available to buy – but there’s one that's been getting rave reviews from celebrities and beauty editors for years: RevitaLash Advanced Eyelash Conditioner.

Developed by ophthalmologists, RevitaLash, from £99 here, contains a vitamin and mineral-enriched biopeptin complex that strengthens and hydrates your eyelash hairs, which is what helps them to grow long and strong. It’s designed to be brushed on to the lash line every evening (or even twice a day), and claims to produce stronger, healthier lashes in just a few weeks.

And RevitaLash’s list of celeb fans is almost as impressive as its claims – Meghan Markle, Kim Kardashian, Tess Daly and Vogue Williams are just a few of the famous faces who have raved about this serum’s results over the years.

But does this cult classic product REALLY live up to its impressive claims? Well, OK! beauty editor Laura Mulley has been using it for years – which should tell you all you need to know! Here are her honest thoughts…

Laura says:

"Despite them being naturally fair, my eyelashes had never really caused me much concern. That was until lockdown hit in 2020, where hours spent sitting on the sofa or in front of my laptop caused me to start to fiddle with my lash and brow hairs. I wouldn’t say it was full-blown trichotillomania, more absentmindedly pulling them to rid them of any loose hairs. But by the end of that year, both were looking decidedly patchy.

"I’ve dipped in and out of using lash and brow serums in the past – I’d seen quite good results from RapidLash, £40 here, and these are some others that the OK! beauty team and our testers like – but I’ve never stuck with them.

"So, keen to try such a hyped product and rescue my ravaged eyelashes, I reached for RevitaLash. The brand says you need to apply it every night for at least six weeks before you can expect to see results, but I honestly noticed a difference in under a month. The tubes last for ages, and after three months my lashes looked thicker, reached up to my eyebrows and, weirdly, even looked a bit darker, too.

"I would still wear mascara to add colour and volume, but I was getting compliments on my long lashes on an almost daily basis, even via Zoom. One of my beauty team colleagues told me she thought I was wearing false eyelashes, and people regularly asked if I had been for salon extensions.

"I've now been using RevitaLash almost every night for two years, and I wouldn't be without it. Eyelashes still go through natural growth cycles so they don't always look as impressive as this picture on the right, but overall they're certainly noticeably longer and thicker than before, and the part of my face that I always get complimented on.

"One minor downside is that if, like me, you can't sleep without wearing a big silk eye mask, this will crush your new long lashes and cause them to grow a little wonkily. The best mask I've found to prevent this is this one from Slip.

"Of course, the other negative is the high price. I try to buy mine when retailers like Cult Beauty have offers on or Black Friday deals, and the tubes honestly last for months. Sure, it’s an expense, but one that, to me, is worth it for the results."
