Former street artist, Miska, channelled her creativity into a home-based nail studio, from which she offers manicures and gel enhancements.

“Street art made me who I am,” she shares. “Cutting stencils requires a lot of precision, and this skill led me to be good at nails.”

The décor is white, black and green, with framed artwork and creative books to inspire and intrigue studio visitors. “It’s definitely my vibe here and that’s why I love it. I can be myself in the space I work everyday. ”

“My clients say that my studio makes them feel so welcome,” she continues. “The design of the space is connected with street art, and some of my work is visible within the studio, alongside lots of plants. The vibe is very friendly; all of my clients are regular and we chat and watch Netflix during their appointments.”

“My salon has moved location a few times, but I’ve always been based in Edinburgh. Edinburgh is such a multi-cultural city, which presents me with a varied clientele.

“Each of my clients are so different from one another, which makes my work with them feel all the more special,” Miska smiles.
