Usually when it comes to skincare the rule is patience is a virtue, and we’re more than used to having to wait to see the results of whichever new product we’re using. However, Paula’s Choice has just relaunched one of its best-loved products, and it promises to give you almost instant results.

The C15 Super Booster, £52 here, is officially back on the shelves and has a shiny new enhanced formula that’s been designed to leave your skin looking firmer and more radiant in under 15 minutes. Its new formula also minimises irritation that some vitamin C serums can cause, all whilst still delivering you a 15% concentrated content that banishes dullness and an uneven skin tone.

Paula's Choice's C15 Super Boost is back with a new formula

The serum combines pure vitamin C (also known as ascorbic acid) with antioxidants and peptides which help stabilise it, and the newly-designed formula now also includes ergothioneine. This new addition is a powerful antioxidant that helps balance out uneven skin tones whilst also boosting how effective the vitamin C content is giving you better results than the original version in less time.

There are also two new additional peptides included in the ingredients, Tridecapeptide-1 and Palmitoyl tripeptide-5, which help minimise the appearance of wrinkles instantly whilst working to keep their appearance minimal over time. It also still contains ferulic acid, which is a potent antioxidant that enhances your skin’s natural defences and reduces discolouration, giving you a more even skin tone.

The new formula also helps to cut down on irritation, minimising the risk of redness, dryness or compromised skin barriers. However, like all vitamin C products its best to gradually introduce it into your skincare routine to avoid any potential damage to your skin.

The new formula promises to improve your complexion in 15 minutes

Once your skin is happy with the C15 Super Booster, you can use the serum up to two times a day as part of your morning or evening routine (or both). Use it once you’ve already cleansed, toned and exfoliated, and you can either add two to three drops to your favourite serum or moisturiser, or use it on its own.

If you’re using it as part of your morning skincare regime, always remember to apply a full spectrum SPF afterwards, as vitamin C can increase your skin’s sensitivity to the sun. We love Naked Sunday’s range of SPFs that come in all kinds of formulas and consistencies, from gels and serums to lotions and mists.

It also does SPF-based golden body creams, lip oils and even makeup balm sticks, so you can include your SPF coverage in every stage of your beauty routine. And don’t forget – even days where you don’t use your vitamin C serum, you should be using SPF anyway, so it’s definitely good to have a few different ones in your beauty bag.

Now our skin is glowing, all we need is the sun to start shining!
