Molly-Mae Hague and her newborn daughter Bambi have been the topic of the week. Everyone has been desperate to know more about how the birth went and how she’s coping with the sleepless nights. There’s also been plenty of interest in the beauty products Molly-Mae has been using to get such a gorgeous make-up free glow.

One item we see mentioned time and time again in Molly-Mae’s vlogs is Laneige’s Lip Sleeping Mask, £19 here. In fact, the new mum loves it so much that it even made its way into her hospital bag. Her favourite flavour of this luxury balm is the vanilla scent, and it’s designed to melt away dead skin cells overnight, creating a smoother, firmer, flake-free pout while you sleep.

It sounds great but at £19 it’s quite a splurge for a lip product. Fear not because we’ve found a bargain alternative that will save you £15.50. W7’s Sweet Dreams Overnight Lip Mask, £4.50 here, is packed with similarly nourishing ingredients like vitamin E, aloe vera and grape seed oil, and together they work to protect lips from winter-induced dryness and chapping.

The only slight downside is the W7 balm doesn’t come in a vanilla scent. However, Laneige’s vanilla offering has been out of stock for months now so you can’t even snap up the pricy version at the moment. We recommend the strawberry-scented lip mask from W7, which looks very similar to the Laneige’s Sweet Candy scent. W7 also offers the balm in green apple and grapefruit versions too, if those are more up your street.

Like we say, the interest in Molly-Mae’s skincare regime has been huge this week, with people taking to the comment sections of her recent Instagram posts to ask how she looks so fresh. We did a bit of digging and found out some of the product’s she’s been using to keep her skin plump and healthy.

Included in the list are La Mer Crème de la Mer Moisturising Cream, from £78 here, Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm, £35.20 here, CeraVe Blemish Control Face Cleanser, £10.50 here, and OleHenriksen Banana Bright Vitamin C Serum, £58 here.

With a few weeks to go until payday hits, we might have to settle for treating ourselves to the bargain lip mask for now. However, Elemis and OleHenriksen are being added to our shopping baskets as soon as possible!
