LookFantastic shoppers are flocking to buy a 'classy' perfume that they insist 'smells of wealth' and it currently has 20% off. Yves Saint Laurent's Libre Eau de Parfum is massively popular and for good reason.

It's had four different variations released to the market but the classic remains a staple for perfume fans. It opens up with nots of tangerine, neroli and lavender – which steals attention. It doubles down with the citrus theme with orange blossom which is married with delicate jasmine sambac.

The base is a comforting mix of white musks and vanilla extract. Together, the notes create a Oriental fougere scent that evokes feelings of confidence in those who wear it.

It has received over 13,000 five star reviews on the YSL Beauty website and 95% of reviewers said that they would recommend it. On LookFantastic, it's pulled in an average rating of 4.88 across 317 reviewers.

One shopper penned: "Love this perfume! Gorgeous and classy smelling and lasts for ages! The projection is also amazing. Had so many compliments when wearing this perfume! Just wish I’d gotten a bigger bottle! Would 10/10 recommend!"

Libre is one of YSL's best-selling fragrances

A second wrote: "Love the staying power of this fragrance. The hint of jasmine that lasts but also not an overly feminine fragrance. Can’t wait to wear it in the summer as it does seem like an all year round winner. Not masculine, not feminine, just lovely."

A third said: "Smells of wealth. This is how I imagine women who have benefitted greatly from divorce smell."

Our very own fragrance buff Jada Jones said: "The first time I smelled this my first thought was that it smells expensive, when I wear it I feel like I'm in my red bottom heels with a designer bag hanging off my arm regardless of what clothes I've got on. It's a great confidence boost and the base notes of vanilla, musk and cedar sing to me.

"This is an elegant and womanly fragrance, it's classy and feminine but above all powerful. The name meaning freedom makes complete sense due to the level of confidence it gives the wearer. This can easily become a signature scent worn year round."

But some shoppers weren't impressed, with one writing: "Even though it is nice I do not think it lasts long."

This is a great option for fans of Mugler's Alien. You can get Yves Saint Laurent's Libre Eau de Parfum from £55.20.
