Thanks to Boots we’ve been able to find information about what the Love Island stars have been using and loving from the villa glam room. This week, we’ve been informed that Jessie Wynter has particularly taken to one foundation – and it happens to be the very product that Meghan Markle apparently used on her wedding day to get a flawless, long-lasting base.
Giorgio Armani’s Luminous Silk Foundation, £44.50 here, is making its debut in the villa this year, and it seems the cult favourite, Royal-approved foundation is already making waves – and for good reason. With a radiant finish and medium, buildable coverage, it’s loved by celebrities and industry experts alike because of its ability to make skin appear glowy and healthy.
We say it’s Meghan’s supposed wedding day foundation because her make-up artist Daniel Martin, who was with her on the big day, has been tight lipped about what was in his kit. However, we do know for sure that the Duchess has been wearing the Luminous Silk base for years as Lydia Sellers, Meghan’s former make-up artist, revealed to Popsugar in 2018 that she chooses to wear a foundation that lets her freckles shine.
"She likes to have a very natural, glowing base but still have something long-lasting to see her through long royal engagements and events,” Lydia said, adding: "Her favoured foundation would be Armani Beauty Luminous Silk Foundation, which is lightweight, to keep her stunning freckles on display but has buildable coverage to blur any imperfections."
Now it seems Love Island’s Jessie has discovered the abilities of this product for herself. Considering she hails from Australia (aka the land of sunshine), we can see why she’s keen to use a product that boosts her beautifully bronzed skin instead of completely covering it. Also, a radiant formula looks flattering for evening events and recouplings, and gives her a very youthful look.
The Armani foundation might be quite a splurge, but the 26 year old is also loving some other beauty products from the glam room that cost considerably less. To add even more of a glow to her skin, she loves Sleek Highlighting Palette, £9.99 here. Boots also says she’s a fan of Benefit’s iconic Hoola Bronzer, £15 here.
We’ll wait anxiously for more beauty news from inside the Love Island villa.
